Perot Systems-Project Management
Project management must reconcile two conflicting aspects of projects - the need for speed in project and product delivery, and the equally important need for reliability in delivering the project as promised. Project management must deal with uncertainty to deliver project outcomes with certainty. Perot Systems' project management approach is standardized, scalable and organizes work through the creation of detailed project plans based on well-defined client business requirements and specific objectives that are agreed upon from the project's inception. To assist project management and control, Perot Systems uses the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as our framework to identify deliverables, systematically schedule work efforts, and efficiently allocate resources and budget. Our project controls are mechanisms used to focus accountability and responsibility, to define clear information flow, to help measure task performance, to identify, prevent and control risk, to resolve issues, and to manage all proposed changes to the scope, schedule or cost of the project.
