This blog is not just about portfolio-program-project management. It is about the business environment that can and does negatively impact a businesses ability to deliver project consistently and to the expected quality. The Standish Group Chaos Report tends to point the blame towards project manager and/or the process. Yes, there is some blame at the sponsor end by not enough and it doesn't give any blame to leadership. Why? Because leadership is responding to the Standish Group surveys. The hard working project manager gets repeatedly blamed for systemic organizational flaws. At the head of our list of systemic flaws is leadership. So my purpose is to shed light from this perspective. I am only saying what others would like to but don't or can't.
