With the New Year well under away, how about some project portfolio management resolutions?
So…you want to lose weight. Find a soul mate. Quit smoking. Great! It all starts with an idea and a desire. After all, the calendar says it’s “Resolution Time,” right? Well, what if you also took that same approach and desire and applied it to your professional life? Let’s take something everyone’s already familiar with — New Year’s resolutions — and apply them to your project portfolio management efforts.
Every project management professional is burdened with the same clichéd challenges, including doing more with less, winning friends and influencing people, bringing projects in on-time and under-budget, searching for excellence, moving someone’s cheese, and, well, yada, yada, yada, right?
But when you think about it, organizations really could learn a thing or two from the resolutions people make.
