Management Technologies conducts two-day Earned Value Professional exam prep workshop for employees involved in government contract projects.
In preparation for taking the Earned Value Professional (EVP) certification exam, CH2M Hill Hanford Group and Flour employees recently completed training with Management Technologies. The EVPrep workshop included test-taking strategies, earned value management (EVM) exam topics, and sample exam questions.
EVP is a new certification that recognizes the depth and breadth of one’s understanding of earned value management and related topics of cost estimating, scheduling and project management. There are currently about 160 EVP-certified practitioners.
Earned value management skills and experience have emerged as key qualifications for individuals and organizations seeking work on government contracts, which often require EVM, according to Management Technologies president Ray Stratton, PMP, EVP. Stratton developed the two-day EVPrep workshop to help prepare candidates for the seven-hour exam, which is administered by The Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International.
“The training class provided valuable knowledge and insight for the students preparing for the EVP Certification exam,” said Dave Burt, CH2M HILL Hanford Group Cost Control Manager.
