Cardiff Software makes and integrates software that helps companies reduce their volume of paperwork and manual data entry, so the San Diego-based company didn't have to be sold on the benefits of services automation for its own fast-growing consulting division. Trouble was, when vice president Patrick Ward went looking for a PSA solution back in 1999, PSA wasn't looking for him.
