Columbus Discovers Agile

An ongoing study analyzing the Agile practices of one programming community is showing improvements in productivity and quality that far exceed the expectations of both analysts and participants. The early results, which move Agile benefits from the realm of anecdote to fact, bode well for adopters of Agile techniques.


Can you outsource an intellectual process like application design, or even coding, as easily and effectively as a repetitive manufacturing one? At one time, the answers seemed to range from "Yes" to "Maybe." Now, it seems to be "Maybe" or "No." Outsourcing is more difficult in an era when knowledge workers are trying to solve design challenges.

Columbus was the first to discover data to prove that. Columbus, Ohio, that is. And, while they were at it, the Agile community in mid-America learned a few things about itself, as well.
