Agile Contracting
Jen Girdish   (May 14, 2009)

Fixed contractual restrictions like timelines, budget and scope can be impractical on the Agile project. Here, Agile thought leaders Rachel Weston and Chris Spagnuolo share some ideas for breaking through the “iron triangle” during the contract phase of an Agile project.

Agile experts Rachel Weston and Chris Spagnuolo presented a seminar on the pitfalls of Agile contracting at the Agile Development Practices conference in Orlando, Fla., last November. PM Boulevard spoke with them about the subject of Agile contracting and gained a few project-tested tips for circumventing the restriction of fixed timelines, budgets and scope challenge.

Throughout her career, Weston has worked to improve processes to create a more collaborative working environment. She is passionate about the positive changes Agile methods can enable for development teams and their customers.
